The Painters Ridge Board of Directors has no control over, but monitors activities related to the Lanterns Planned Development (west and south of Painters Ridge) in the interests of Painters Ridge Residents/Owners. Board Director Brian Bates stays in contact with Castle Rock Town Staff and issues a report that is incorporated within Board meeting minutes. Curbing and asphalt have been completed on the north portion of the Lanterns Loop Road. Additional road grading is occurring. Home building is not expected to begin until of spring 2020. The main water line connection is completed.

Air quality issues (dust) due to the Lanterns Development is assigned by the Town of Castle Rock Adan Rivas, Stormwater Inspector (720-733-6031 or ARivas@crgov.com). Water trucks are being used as a dust control measure. The project is monitored with regular scheduled inspections under the Grading Erosion and Sediment Control program. Public Works inspectors perform daily inspections. Additionally, an Air Pollutant Emission Notice has been obtained with the State.
Painters Ridge residents received an October 18, 2019 Public Notice re a Castle Rock Town Council hearing concerning a proposed Amendment 4 to the Lanterns Planned Development to create a new five-acre planning area zoned to allow a place of worship and/or single-family detached residential structures and to incorporate the commercial lot at the southwest corner of Crystal Valley Parkway and Plum Creek Boulevard into the Lanterns Planned Development.
The amendment also includes a Master Sign Plan for the Lanterns Planned Development.
The date for the hearing has been rescheduled to December 3rd (1st Reading) and tentatively December 17th for 2nd Reading to be conducted in the Town Council Chambers located at 100 North Wilcox Street, to which all interested persons are invited to attend. Updated written public notices will be mailed on or before November 18, 2019 and will have a Vicinity Map identifying the project location.
